This week, one of the most important events of CBS PYP will take place. The IB PYP Exhibition, which is a milestone in the IB PYP program. This year has been a memorable year so far and even though the epidemic changed our learning styles and habits, the Grade 5 students continued their inquiry process and prepared for the graduation exhibition and graduation ceremony, which will be held on 6 June 2020.
In the final year of the PYP, students participate in a culminating project, the PYP exhibition. This requires that each student demonstrates engagement with the five essential elements of the programme: knowledge, concepts, skills, attitudes and action. It is a transdisciplinary inquiry conducted in the spirit of personal and shared responsibility, as well as a summative assessment activity that is a celebration as students move from the PYP into the middle years of schooling.
The primary school exhibition is an exploration achievement exhibition with the fifth grade students in primary school as the main body and the subject teachers' by their side as guidance. It consists of three parts: static exhibition, dynamic exhibition and graduation ceremony. During this process, students kept thinking、researching、communication and cooperating. After 11 weeks of intense preparation, our students are ready and waiting for parents, teachers and students to enjoy the results of this inquiry.
In addition to the static display and drama show, the students also designed souvenirs for the graduation exhibition. Various products show our students' thinking and inspiration.
