June 1st is International Children's Day, on this special day Changwai Bilingual School held a solemn initiation ceremony of the young pioneers in Jingran Hall. In attendance of the ceremony were Ms. Judy Wan, Executive Principal of Changwai Bilingual School, Vice-Principal Ms. Nancy Lee and Ms. Annie Chen, Vice-Principal of CBS primary school Mr. Theo Yan, instructor Da Xi of the young pioneers brigade of primary school, Youth League Secretary Xie Ting of Changzhou Foreign Language School and instructor Jin Shan of the Young Pioneers brigade attended today's ceremony.
Miss Retty and Mr. Danny warmly announced that the initiation ceremony of the young pioneers had begun. All the teachers and students stood up and sang the teamwork song of the Chinese Young Pioneers. Miss Jin Shan read out the decision on the formation of the Young Pioneers in Changwai Bilingual School , and the names of the new members. 55 new students from grade one to grade five have joined the young pioneers organization. Then, the class teacher helped new team members wear red scarves. Mr. Xi led all the new young pioneer to make a solemn oath to the flag. The Young Pioneers declared their determination to contribute to the society by shouting, "Always be ready!."
Grade Four student Fu Jinghao made a speech. He looked to the future and he encouraged us all to work harder, faster and be stronger. The leaders presented awards for the new squadron, and awarded the letter of appointment for each homeroom teacher. Finally, Vice-Principal Ms. Nancy delivered a speech, expressing her sincere wishes to the new Chinese Young Pioneers.
"Heroes come from young individuals." Children represent the future of the motherland and the hope of the Chinese nation. We should foster lofty aspirations and beautiful hearts from an early age in order to be ready for the realization of the Chinese dream. Let us sincerely wish these new Chinese Young Pioneers will have warm hearts and dedicate their lives.
