CBS Happenings丨PYP Chinese Culture Week
2021.02.26

After the Spring Festival holiday, we ushered in our Chinese Traditional Culture Week in the first week of school. To inherit Chinese culture and cultivate global citizens, the teachers and students of PYP used this opportunity to celebrate traditional Chinese festivals. The students were able to experience Chinese culture and inquire about it.

Through the corridor of time, we seem to go back to the past, and all the beautiful memories are lit up at this moment. Let us follow the children's footsteps.

The children in the lower grades experienced ancient games such as taking pictures, turning the flower rope, jumping rubber band, playing glass marbles, etc.

February 26th, the 15th day of the first lunar month, is our traditional Chinese Lantern Festival. On the occasion of the Chinese Lantern Festival, the school also seized the opportunity to let the children experience fun childhood games that the teachers prepared. Making lanterns and guessing lantern riddles are traditional activities of the Lantern Festival. The children in grade one and two made lanterns by themselves. Yizanzhan lanterns are lovely and thoughtful. Lantern riddles are also known as shooting tigers. It has a history of 2500 years in China. Upper Primary students guessed riddles, understood the riddle literature,  gained knowledge, and had fun.

Happy childhood and a fun Lantern Festival, children's childhood memories are precious; Inheriting culture and integrating research, the bilingual students always practice to become an international student.

Happy Lantern Festival!
