Recently, Gary CHEN in G10B has achieved 8 points (Out of 9 Points) in Ielts test. It is worth mentioning that this is the first time he has taken this test as a G10 student.

Student's Voice

I am honored to share my first try of IELTS exams. First of all, much appreciation particularly goes to my English teachers Mr. Ressol and Mr. Martel, who provided me with great help during the preparation of IELTS. Thanks to their patient guidance and efforts in forming a positive atmosphere, we are all immersed in English learning.

After entering high school, ESL course has helped improve my English proficiency significantly. With teachers’ help, I made big progress in English literacy, learning methods, problem-solving skills and thinking as well, the application of which are certainly not restricted in language tests.

Learning is never a matter of overnight. I strictly follow my list to implement the daily learning schedule and divide it into different modules. In such a subtle way, my learning efficiency has been greatly improved, and surprisingly, I receive more joy of learning. I also strongly suggest that active participation in various English activities and extensive reading help with our horizon and experience for future explorations.

Gary has an impressive language talent and a solid foundation in English and More importantly, he has been working hard to make himself better. When I first met Gary, his low-key calmness and restrained cuteness were extremely impressive. In the ensuing contact, his rigor and execution ability is even more impressive. During his first year in CBS, he clarified his goals for further studies. He usually takes the initiative to consult with counselor, and also communicates with CBS seniors. He finally determined his plan for further studies, and he also recorded all his studies and extracurricular plans for the next two years, which will be strictly implemented in the end. I hope that he is enriched with positive experiences and knowledge that will push him to be even better and work hard to make all his dreams come true.

Personally, I believe the growth of your ability and mindset is the most valuable outcome from this Ielts test and other experience. I am very proud to be your counselor and help with your personal development. I sincerely hope you would treasure and make good use of the knowledge and abilities you have acquired, in order to become your better selves in the future. Gary not only has excellent grades, but is also sincere and humble. He has received unanimous praise from teachers and students. He has his own pace in learning, can plan reasonably and execute strictly, and his methodical and rigorous style is impressive. In addition, Gary has the courage to try new things and dare to step out of his comfort zone. He actively participated in Christmas party, Science Day, English Week and other activities, and went all out. I believe Gary will break through himself time and time again, showing more possibilities and more surprises!

While congratulating Harry for getting a high score in his first IELTS exam, I also hope that other students will take every opportunity to study and exercise seriously. Every night when you stay up late, there are stars to dress you up, and moonlight to crown you. Come on!
