The sun is full of happy smiling faces; the autumn sweet-scented osmanthus is filled with the fragrance of joy. When the sun of August shines into every corner of CBS, when the familiar sound of pencils across the paper rang in our ears again, we ushered in a new starting point for healthy growth and ushered in a new school year of sowing hope, ushered in the opening ceremony as scheduled.

In the warm-up session waiting for the official start of the ceremony, CBS teachers and students watched the excellent graduate video "The Power of Role Models". At 3pm in the afternoon, the teachers and students of Changwai bilingual school gathered in the school's theater, full of beautiful longings and yearning. Amid the loud national anthem, the annual opening ceremony was ushered in, and a new journey of life was also started.

Executive principal of CBS-Ms. Nancy, Vice principal of CBS-Ms. Annie and other leaders and special guests attended the ceremony. The management team from each department of CBS, all teachers and students attended the on-site activities. The ceremony was hosted by G10A students Adria HU and pre DP student Frank Zheng.

Welcome New Staff
In the new semester, the school has recruited a group of Chinese and foreign teachers, who have injected fresh blood into the school and added fresh vitality. The new teacher made a simple introduction under the witness of all teachers and students, all CBS teachers and students also welcomed them with the most enthusiastic applause as new bilingual family members.

Speech by Susanna Zheng
Representative of outstanding graduates, Susanna Zheng, who is about to study in natural sciences at Cambridge University in the UK, gave a speech. She expressed her gratitude to the hardworking teachers, gave all the students the most sincere wishes and expectations, and shared that the process of applying to the university provided valuable experience for the junior students.

Outstanding Students of 2019-2020 Award Ceremony
Mr. Huang Yongtao, the director of the Changwai Bilingual School Student Development Center, announced the commendation decision, commending outstanding students in the school year of 2019-2020, and Mr. Phillips, the principal of the school House Center, presented the awards to the students.

Speech by Ms. Nancy LEE
Ms. Nancy, executive principal of CBS, delivered a final speech. First of all, Principal LEE expressed her welcome to the new students and teachers. Then, she started from this year's epidemic and used the deeds of Academician Zhong Nanshan to suggest that when facing destiny, mankind must create destiny. She emphasized that in school, students must be tenacious, full of mission, and strive for life; teachers keep in mind that what makes a good teacher is deep knowledge, strong work ethic, passion, and constant learning from peers and students.
