Recently, Changwai Bilingual School has received a piece of great  news: our school has received the IBDP official authorization letter from the International Baccalaureate Organization (IBO), and has become a IB world school! Since then, CBS has become the first IB World School in Changzhou. This not only shows that the international education of CBS has stridden  a new stage, but also fills a gap in the international curriculum  platform of Changzhou.

As the largest international education organization in the world, the International Baccalaureate (IB) curriculum has always been carrying out IB mission statement and learner profiles with its comprehensive curriculum system, scientific evaluation system, highly-valued teacher professional development and strict school authorization standards, and helping students become responsible members of local, national and global communities.

According to the authorization process and standards of IB world school officially issued by IBO, a school must pass very strict evaluation of IBO, and only when it fully conforms to the standards in school mission, educational philosophy, organizational structure, qualified teachers, teaching skills, school facilities and curriculum system can it be authorized.

From submitting the application to IBO, becoming an interested school, to becoming a candidate school, from orderly preparation and practice, receiving consultation visit and authorization visit, to finally being authorized. Two years were spent to fully ensure the quality of IBDP education and teaching at CBS, and the ability of students developing under IB system to cope with the challenges of the future world.

Looking back at the journey from the establishment of Changwai Bilingual School to the authorization of IBDP, CBS has been highly appraised and recognized by the International Baccalaureate Organization (IBO), which is inseparable from the advanced philosophy of schooling, core management team, experience in school management and high-quality educational resources. Every member of CBS from the board to the "IB learner community", has been committed to supporting and promoting the implementation and development of the IBDP and nurturing leaders of tomorrow who are knowledgeable, innovative and caring.

CBS has officially entered the ranks of IB world school, which is not only a key step in the optimal allocation of educational resources in Changzhou, but a part of Changzhou's internationalization strategy. CBS will always provide high-quality bilingual education and international education for students from different cultural backgrounds, and provide more all-round, high-quality and lifelong learners for the sustainable development of the society.
