CBS Happenings丨IBDP Students Assembly
2021.03.02

On the morning of March 2, IBDP teachers and students gathered for the first student assembly of the semester.

Looking back, we experienced the cold and harsh winter; we enjoyed our free time and quiet vacation. After a semester of learning, many students become more mature, stable and confident!

Based on academic performance, extracurricular activities, and moral education performance, the school has already awarded two outstanding students DP Peter Gu and Pre DP Frank Zheng. We have also selected five advanced students from the IBDP, Richard Wu, Albert Lu, Clair Zhou, Roy Zhu and Cedric Li.

The new semester is the season of harvesting but also the season of sowing. Cultivation and sowing require hard work and effort. Just last week, we successfully completed a traditional Chinese culture week activity -- "Perfume Museum". We started to plan this activity at the end of last semester and finished the action plan during the holiday. After the comprehensive selection by the teachers and students, we have selected two best tutors, Ruby and Elva, and four best performing students, Richard, Roy, Clair and Tom.

In this conference, we are honored to invite Ms. Nancy LEE, the executive principal of CBS, to award the prize to the teachers and students. The executive principal also made an important speech at this conference!

First of all, Principal LEE praised the winners. She hoped that all the students would learn from each other and help each other. She expected all students to strive to become the inquisitive, knowledgeable and caring learners that the IB mission statement advocates. Then, she praised the creativity of Chinese Culture Week last week and the hard work of the teachers. In the end, Principal LEE quoted Takuya Kimura's song "The Uniquer Flower in the World" and proposed the expectations for the new semester. "Wish everyone has different seeds, and we all need to work hard for our own flowers to blossom".

The meeting came to a successful end with encouragement and applause. we believe all the students will fill their bags and set out in the new semester!
