From March 24th to 26th, IB Global Annual Conference was successfully held at Asia World-Expo in Hong Kong, China. Ms. Cao Hui (General Principal), Ms. Wan Mingzhu (Executive Principal), Ms Luna Han (Director of Academic Center and MYP Coordinator), Ruby Huang (DP Coordinator) attended the annual conference. Nearly 2,000 educators from around the world, school leaders and practitioners of IB education interpreted the latest changes and trends in IB education and witnessed the new chapter in IB's opening of its fifty-first year.

The theme of this annual conference is "Generation IB". The conference provides six keynote speeches and 120 sessions around PYP, MYP, DP, Leadership, Higher Education, Research, Continuum, and Cross Programmes. The content of the speech covers a large range of educational areas, such as IB philosophy, student growth, professional development, school management, etc., providing a theoretical and practical system for the school to better practice the IB.

How are IB World schools supporting their student’s mental health?

During the annual conference, Ms. Cao Hui and Ms. Wan Mingzhu met with Ms. Avalokita Nanda, Authorization Associate Manager of IBO Asia Pacific, and discussed the implementation of PYP, MYP and DP. Ms. Avalokita Nanda also gave a high recognition to the promotion of the IB programmes in CBS and made guiding suggestions.

IBO has always advocated building a learner community and a personalized learning platform for lifelong learners with different backgrounds of individual, culture and needs. This annual conference is such a feast of theory and practice sharing and an inspiration collision of inheritance of common education mission.

In addition, Ms. Cao Hui and Ms. Wan Mingzhu also visited Hong Kong Baptist University Affiliated School Wong Kam Fai Secondary and Primary School. From the balanced coherence of their academic courses to the rich diversity of student development courses, they all reflect the school philosophy of "Caters to the whole person development, providing a safe learning environment for the students". In the context of internationalization, the leaders of the two schools exchanged ideas of how to create a learning community, and cultivate students into world citizens with innovative and adventurous spirits, thinking and reflection ability, active inquiry and communication skills. This visit has also established friendships between the two schools.
