In our study and life, we cannot live without the spirit of science. In short, the scientific spirit is to seek truth from facts, have the courage to explore and defend the truth. People with scientific spirit can walk more firmly and freely in their own way.

Chinese Academician Tu Youyou, the Laureate of the Nobel Prize in medicine, in order to research and develop artemisinin, traveled all over the country, read ancient and modern medical books and wrote more than 2000 information cards. Finally she sorted out the anti-malaria single prescription collection containing more than 600 kinds of herbs. She has been exploring drugs for malaria for decades and innovatively looking for treatment strategies in traditional Chinese medicine.

Finally, the method of refining artemisinin to treat malaria was found in an ancient data of traditional Chinese medicine. After that, she devoted herself to her research and found the final method of refining artemisinin on the basis of ancient books.

Only through hard work can we do what seems ordinary but actually strange. Academician Tu youyou showed her selfless persistence and amazing perseverance. We can also see her strong research spirit and innovative spirit of daring to try and make mistakes in dealing with science. Because of these valuable spirits, she has created her success.
