ECA AIM
The ECA programme aims to develop students who

  • · Enjoy and find significance in a range of ECA experiences
  • · Purposefully reflect upon their experiences
  • · Identify goals,develop strategies and determine further action for personal growth
  • · Explore new possibilities,embrace new challenges and adapt to new roles
  • · Actively participate in planned,sustained,and collaborative ECA projects
  • · Understand they are members of local and global communities with responsibilities towards each other and the environment.
ECA COURSE REQUIREMENTS
+ HS Details     Download

· Teachers will be in charge of the ECA courses.

· Students need to choose 2 ECA courses for each term. (The same course will run on Monday and Wednesday or Tuesday and Thursday)

· ECA courses will change every term. First week and last week of each term have no ECA course. (Each department will make their own decision for the beginning and ending of ECA course.)

· Unless the specific ECA course have a subject competition (if it’s required), all the other ECA courses can be taken by both Middle year and High school students. Foundation and Primary have their own department ECA courses.

· All the ECA course teachers will give an overall evaluation for each student, each term, including class behavior, homework and an overall evaluation.

· Once a student has chosen the ECA course, it will not be changed except in particular circumstances (with the permission of the head of the department).

· Students must take the ECA course seriously as the school will punish students according to the school rules. If a student is caught by any teacher violating classroom rules and the teacher's requirement, they will be dealt with appropriately.
